Lashers note got me thinking: replace half of the SH GQs with a new concept: GQ Melee. SH join the gq melee and are trans'd to a new zone. the new zone is populated by mobs and is a combat maze type room. players have to kill X mobs to win. if a player is killed, they spawn at recall and are out of the zone. here is the catch: to win, a player also needs a KEY. the keys randomly spawn at a low rate on the mobs and are autolooted. if a player kills a player with a key, he gets the key. rewards, mob toughness, key spawn rates can all be tweaked. the key andomness gives lowbies a chance.r perhaps put players in a starting room where they can only translocate out, to make it random, and let all players have x charges of translocate (like laser tag) and perhaps leave decys ( lije laser tag) to make it harder to win by just pking everyone. thoughts?

I think the only chance here is a new feature, run like once per day at peak hours (once per day only) with a whole new set of rules and coding to make it fun. like a battle royale, pubg style experience. something that leaves thesevlegacy power gaps mostly behind.

3 percent of players online are newbie, and who knows how many are alts. Here is my idea to increase conversion: Create a random reward system keyed to tier that awards meaningful but random quest points either on random mob kills, at level up, or both. The probability goes down a lot as players tier. the game is so top heavy now with instinct and mastery sinks that it is time to help players climb the qp curve faster. in this day and age nobody wants to wait 30 minutes for a quest. its archaic. faster qp accumulation early in player life will not hurt this game. Alternately, cut quest wait time in half for new players and reduce qp by only 33 percent, with q times lengthening again as they tier. just 2c from a nobody.

Put a stake through the heart of DB abuse bogeyman by removing double xp from DB. Then create a token that loads on xp mobs, just like TP tokens. Randomly, must play to get it. Then add a skill to mentalist that will list 10 areas, 1 of which will have a mob randomly load with the token. mentalist onky knows what area it might be in.

Allow players, once per month, to give a reputation point to another player. Only tiers may award reputation. Reputation is visible on whois and finger. Reputation giver may be anonymous to receiver. If monthly is too frequent, try every 100 days. Potentially bankable to a max of 3.

Someone proposed on ideas the notion of running qtimers while offline. At first it seemed silly, but then it got me thinking. Some people really like questing, right? you get the random mob random experience, variable reward... all good elements to a pleasurable game loop. in fact questing has been core to aard for decades. So player suggests more of this with offline timers. obviously there is demand. is there a design problem with zatisfying it? I played actively many years ago. Questing was a limiter of sorts on how quickly one can advance. since then, all game resources are MUCH easier to obtain, even qp. heck, campaign with winklebot plugin and one can pile up qp on a single char for almost 100 percent of playtime. Exp, trains, I/M/ P are all resource sinks. Is qp still so important that offline timers isca terrible idea? say someone created 100 alta to nonstop quest, is there realistically material abuse possible? is it worse or different than, say, farming 100 daily blessings?

BTW ibkr required 500 percent risk capital and ran out of borrow around 630 p.m. academics are smart because it's a phenomenal quality of life but they know Jack compared to someone like me. there is simply no substitute for seeing 500 situations across cycles where little details aren't assumed away if they are even recognized at all. I have example after example of stuff like XIV. will probably compile them into a book and self publish to a niche professional audience. 8t might sound cool to have 50 million at age 35, but I will probably not make it to 60 years old due to stress and sed3ntary occupation.
