the way the current changes apply, people with
mob databases will head straight to the correct
room and kill the mob. the rest of us have
to find the correct mob through repeatedly killing random

the only problem I see with minizones with random
commands is that it is easy enough when you have a full keyboard
at your disposal but when all you have is a mobile device
with a keyboard designed for the fingers of a 5 years olds
it becomes really problematic.
i have no idea how VI players would cope with these kinds
of solutions either.

as the subject line suggest xrt is now a part of my AllInOne
plugin collection. it uses the names from areas keyword 1 200
there is only one known problem as of now and that is that .xrt terra
will take you to terramire not cracks of terra
visit and download and
follow the installation instructions, you don't already
have the plugins installed.

I'm in the process of writing a plugin for blowtorch that
will update the main combat spell/skill as you level. The easy bit is done,
ie advancing the spell/skill based on level and tier but I would like
some advice regarding the skills/spells for each class.
I'll be doing something special for thieves because once they get
backstab they will want to use that and then probably
strangle as well later.
I will also at some stage work on lists for each subclass but for now i
would appreciate your input for each class.

my Quest and Campaign helper plugin.

hello fellow blowtorch abusers

i have been made aware of a few gremlins, and discovered a few myself
and that meant stomping on them, which was fun, but also
means that i had to upload the new versions for you to download.
included in the package is, in no particular order:
spellup, consider, gmcp_mapper, quest/campaign helper and
the autohunt/hunttrick plugin. there have also been some changes made
to the AreasArray.lua file, so you should now not get error for darkside
and sahugain.

I have updated the consider plugin for blowtorch. you can now
use conw auto to toggle autoconsider on and off.

I also fixed the trigger for annihilate mobs, so they now display correctly.

ps please send me a note if you experience problems.
the more detail you can give me about the problem the
easier it will be for me to track down the source and fix it.

It seems that a number of android users of blowtorch do not
have access to the full google playstore.
This means that they can't register for the Beta version of Blowtorch,
which fixes some annoying glitches but more importantly will allow
the use of the mapper that I ported from Mushclient.
After much searching I finally managed to find where my
version of the apk file had hidden itself. I have zipped
it up, yes I understand the irony, and posted it to

I have discovered today that the struggles getting the mapper
to work are because it requires version 2.1 of Blowtorch.

this is only avaible as a beta tester via the google playstore app.
you need to sign up as a beta tester, down the bottom of the page
and it then switches from the old 2.0 to the new 2.1 version.

i am looking  work arounds but it seems to be an issue with the version of
sqlite being user in that old version

I have made some changes to the way the mapper sets itself up.
it's not perfect, but it is a perfect as my limited skills will allow.

because github is not easy to access from mobile devices I have put a

I have converted the mapper used by MushClient for Blowtorch.
This is the backend only, not the GUI. it learns as you move around,
you can add portals and custom exits, which the mapper will
use when moving from place to place.

the url is in my finger information, and instructions for installing
it are included in the readme file.

please note that this is still in testing but all the main
features are working. I also do not plan to change the
layout of the database, so you do not have to worry about
it becoming obsolete, if i add any more major functions. i will
also include a method to update the database if i do have to
make major changes.

i have written a spellup plugin for blowtorch. it detects when you
are in combat or have another status that stops you from casting or using
skills. to do this it uses gmcp data so it is important to
read the instructions on github regarding installation.

I've been working on these for some time and feel it is time
to unleash them on the general mud population.

As a user of blowtorch the lack of plugins frustrated me, and so I set
about writing some basic plugins for blowtorch. These then
evolved in to slightly more complex plugins as my ability to adept
code from mushclient improved.

I am unleashing 3 plugins on the denizens of Aardwolf. A huntrick/autohunt
plugin. A quest helper plugin. AND the start of a mapper plugin.

All three of these are available from my github repository. The
url is listed in my finger info. But if you can't wait that long to
 look it up

please note that the mapper is not yet complete. it DOES NOT handle
custom exits yet. I'm working out how to do that in the absence of
the wait function that mushclient uses.

feedback is welcome and i will attempt to answer easy questions
about using the mapper BUT it is up to you to work out how
to do things with buttons, nocilis has a very good set of instructions
regarding that part of things.

Firstly, after carefully reading the blowtorch creators website, I found out 
how to import and export the setting files for BlowTorch. I know that there
have been comments that doing this crashes BlowTorch but the fix is very easy.
On your SDcard create a directory called BlowTorch. After that it all just

What I haven't work out how to do is write any meaningful code for BlowTorch.
If anyone knows of any resources for teaching people how to write plugins or
what ever BlowTorch wishes to call them, could you please let me know as I
would like to work out how to make BlowTorch more attractive as a mud client
and perhaps we can get more new players involved that way.

Why anyone thinks he should do all the work, when there are other tools out
there that do the same thing, is beyond my comprehension.

The fact that the mapper checks that the cexits are rational is not a bug. It's
a feature, a very useful one at that.

release plugins developed for blowtorch. 

BlowTorch 2 lets you code things in lua, allows for regex and all the neat
things that mushclient does, the gui isn't as friendly, so the minimap isn't
as easy to replicate but if we could get people to port mushclient scripts
to blowtorch we could help get new players who don't want to be tied to a pc.

The wiki says black lotus restores 8xlevel of spell mana points while in game
it is actually 2xlevel mana points. I suspect the confussion came in with the

When I tried to hand in a set of cards today I noticed for the first time that
all the cards in the suit of fire have Elemental as a keyword. This makes it a 
little tricksy to just draw out the Elemental itself. 

Keywords   : elemental fire elemental playingcard poker card

Not sure if it affects other suits too.
